Meet the team

Konstantinos Panagos

Konstantinos acts as the Project Manager for FOKEA+SENSE. He is an Executive with 25+ years of experience predominantly in Telecoms Biomedical and Information Technology. Strong background of leadership accomplishments managing with passion for change and agility in diverse Executive positions for 20+ years in Customer Excellence, Technology Management, Regulatory and Governmental Affairs, Security Risk & Compliance and Strategic Programme Management.
• Engineering background (MEng,ECE), MBA and a passionate Ethics and Business Excellence ambassador

Alexandros Kalafatelis

Alexandros holds the position of Machine Learning Engineer at FourDotInfinity and is the Lead Developer of the FOKEA+Sense project. He received his BEng in Electrical Engineering from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and his BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science from the University of East London. He is an experienced full-stack and ML developer who has participated and contributed to research projects in the context of H2020 and has already published two scientific papers.

Panagiotis Trakadas

Panagiotis holds the position of Scientific Advisor at FourDotInfinity. He has been the technical coordinator in many FP6/FP7/H2020 projects, with experience of more than 25 years. He will be responsible for the scientific outcomes and system integration. He has more than 120 publications in journals and conferences.
He also holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Ports Management and Shipping at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Stefanos Tsantilas

Mr Stefanos TSANTILAS (male) holds a BSc degree in Electronics Engineering from the Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus. He received his MSc in Internetworked Electronics Systems from the same Institute. His expertise lies in the field of analog and digital circuit design with a successful track record of multiple PCB designs for high-speed applications. He also has professional experience in the area of embedded software development for microcontrollers targeting demanding applications such as real-time data acquisition and transmission. His interests also include RF circuit and antenna design, particularly antenna arrays for beam steering applications. Furthermore, he has been actively involved as Project Manager or consultant in several National and European funded projects related to IoT, remote system monitoring and control, and smart healthcare systems. Mr. Tsantilas joined 8Bells in Oct 2020 as a Senior Project Consultant.

Simos Symeonidis

Dr Simos Symeonidis (8BELLS), Director of IoT and Sensors Department (male) holds a PhD degree in RF and Microwave design from Loughborough University, UK. He has extensive knowledge of digital, analog and RF circuit design. He has worked with multiple microwave simulation tools for antenna design and optimization and multiple hardware design software for electronic circuit development. His research work to date includes participation in numerous National funded projects related to IoT hardware design for interfacing peripherals such as X-band 5G transceivers, environmental monitoring sensors and wearable – implantable antennas.
