Fibres-Energivie, France

Fibres-Energivie is a French cluster for the sustainable materials and building sectors. It counts some 220 members : manufacturers, architects, desing consultants, construction businesses, developers, operations and maintenance specialists but also research centres and training institutions. Its remit is to support innovative businesses, particularly by facilitating collaborative R&D projects, initiating collective actions and promoting networking opportunities. It also offer sector-specific services, such as supporting technical evaluation or support for eco-innovation.

Cluster Sophia Knowledge City, Bulgaria

The vision of Cluster Sofia Knowledge City is to promote and participate in the process of transforming Sofia from a traditional capital into a Knowledge City that maintains a high quality of life and good governance by supporting the open innovation ecosystem. Its mission is to bring the efforts of the knowledge-intensive sectors with those of the municipality, the scientific, R&D, educational and financial organizations for implementing the Strategy for Smart Specialisation of Sofia.
The strategic objective of the cluster is to build its own model for a knowledge city and to turn it into a national and regional center for education, scientific research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. This is to be done through implementing smart technologies and mobilizing own and EU funding. Being an open association of an unlimited number of enterprises, science and education organizations the cluster is aimed at creating an “innovative ecosystem” based on the experience of leading Knowledge and smart cities in the world.
Apart from the SmartCityTech partnership, the cluster cooperates with the Cluster House in Nis and iTech Transilvania Cluster ARIES.
For the moment, the cluster has 50 members – SMEs, Universities, R&D and NGOs. The sectors CSKC covers are the Creative Industries and the Digital Industries, specialized in Knowledge management & education, Smart City Planning and Development, and Urban Digitalisation.

Baltic Eco-Energy Cluster – Institute of Fluid Flow Machinery Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland

Baltic Eco-Energy Cluster (BEEC) was initiated by the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machines of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Marshalls of the Pomeranian and Warmian-Mazurian Voivodeships. The main goal of the BEEC is to facilitate absorption of structural EU funds (central and regional ones) in the Macro-Region of Northern Poland, but also to improve the coordination of actions of economic entities, communes and poviats, associations and offices and scientific centres within the use of renewable sources of energy. The Macro-Region of Northern Poland is reach in resources of green energy and so, a great potential of development of circular energy generation technologies.

ICT Cluster of Central Serbia, Serbia

ICT Cluster of Central Serbia is a business association which gathers enterprises, institutions and organizations from ICT sector from the territory of Central Serbia, based in geographical center of Serbia, in the city of Kragujevac.

Cluster was established on May 21, 2013 with the goal to support and develop the information and communication technologies sector on the territory of Central Serbia. This goal will be achieved through building capacities and infrastructure of the Cluster to provide support for development of small and medium sized enterprises in ICT field with the aim to enhance their competitiveness, businesses and visibility on domestic and international markets.

Since its establishment, ICT cluster CS has managed to put itself to the map of clusters on national and international level. On the national level the Cluster has signed the Memorandum of cooperation with three the most developed ICT clusters in Serbia (ICT NET Belgrade, Vojvodina ICT Cluster – VOICT, NIS Cluster of Advanced Technologies – NI-CAT) with which has intensive cooperation on building environment for effective clusters and ICT sector development.

One of 7 founders of Serbian Cluster Association – SCAN and its cluster manager is in SCAN Managing Board. Also, member of Balkan, Black Sea and Baltic ICT Clusters Network – 3B ICT which consists of 17 full member ICT cluster organizations which covers population area of over 350 million and European Digital SME Alliance which consists of more than 20.000 ICT SMEs across the EU.

INDURA works mainly in the field of civil engineering covering all types of infrastructure. We help our 120 cluster members identify emerging ideas for innovation and research in areas such as circular economy, the digitalisation of the construction industry, new and sustainable building materials, natural risk mitigation, etc.

Fondazione Torino Wireless, Italy

Torino Wireless is an innovation agency with the mission of contributing to the regional and national competitiveness, by accelerating companies that use technologies as a strategic development factor and supporting the institutions in planning and managing innovation processes. It facilitates the relations between companies, research centres and the policy makers and other stakeholders, both public and private, in order to create opportunities of collaboration for technology transfer, development of R&D projects, pilot and demonstration of solutions, adopting of innovative solution by public administrations, etc. I coordinates the Regional ICT Innovation Cluster (Polo ICT) and the Italian Technology Cluster for Smart Communities (SmartCommunitiesTech).

Environment Park manages a regional innovation Cluster on energy and cleantechnologies. It counts on 170 members, mainly SMEs. The areas of activity include circular economy and members have proposed and developed various innovative projects run by local SMEs and enterprises in the circular economy area of development. Specifically, CLEVER aims to:

  • providing infrastructures and services with high added value
  • understanding the technological needs of the companies
  • advising regional actors to support research and innovation
  • favouring knowledge-sharing

SPRING National Cluster, Italy

Environment Park is member of SPRING National Cluster.  The acronym SPRING evokes the concepts of Rise, New Beginning, Push for Growth: the Cluster wants to be a stimulus for sustainable innovation, a spring for development and for a systemic growth focused on bioeconomy. An initiative that evolves in constant dialogue with the actors of local areas, in full respect of biodiversity.
In November 2017 the Cluster SPRING is formally recognized as a member of the national “direction cabinet”- on the theme of Bioeconomy – “for the coordination of industrial research policies at national and local level, as well as for its role of connection between the measures promoted at central and regional level and, with reference to the regions of Southern Italy, also as a facilitator for the implementation and use of interventions in the local areas “.

Today, more than 100 are the SPRING members, all operate in the bioeconomy sector in various ways and represent the whole Italian industry of “green” chemistry: they are big industrial players, SMEs, universities, and all the main Italian public research organisations active in the fields of biomass harvesting and processing. A number of actors operating in the fields of technology transfer and environmental communication are also members of the Cluster

France Water Team , France

France Water Team (FWT) is the national water competitiveness cluster promoting the emergence of collaborative R&D projects developing major innovations for water and aquatic environments. FWT forms an innovation ecosystem of almost 500 members, including about 400 companies of all sizes and various specialties and 60 research and training institutions in permanent interaction. FWT aims at proposing solutions addressing the main challenges of the water sector: Digitalisation, Circular economy, Energy transition, Ecological transition, Climate change adaptation and Biodiversity. FWT is federating the three territorial water clusters: AQUA-VALLEY, DREAM Eau & Milieux and HYDREOS.
